The Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) outlines the process for assessment and what the EIS must include. It is one of the tools available to the community to assess whether the government has adhered to correct procedures during the planning process.
You can access the SEARs here.
From reading the SEARS you will expect a serious and solid assessment, but when you go to the relevant section, you may be disappointed. If you don’t think that the EIS fulfils the SEARS, you can explain that in your submissions.
